Sotabosc Pattern

9,08

Sotabosc is a triangular shawl that plays with dancing twisted cables. The shawl starts at the narrow point is knitted sideways. The pattern is worked in reverse stockinette stitch with neat i-cord edges. I was inspired by fallen beech leaves in the autumn (Sotabosc is a Catalan word that refers to undergrowth on a forest floor). The shawl might look complex but, with both a simple construction and an easy-to-memorise pattern repeat, it is also suitable for an adventurous beginner.
